Hand-made historically-accurate reproductions of Viking-age finds for use in reenactment events, experimental archeology, or display.

Soapstone Moulds

Many soapstone moulds for making jewelry have been found that date to the Viking age, and are up for display in all the major museums throughout Scandinavia. Whether its for making Tor’s hammers, Christian crosses, or clothing accessories, by having a reproduction of one of the moulds, you are able to cast your own reproductions of the famous articles.

In all cases, I only ship the mould once I have tested it by casting the item. If you would like me to ship the item with the test cast for your display, please let me know.

Below are some examples of moulds that are reproductions of an original Viking age find:

It is possible to also reverse-engineer a mould.

In cases where an item has been found, I can produce a soapstone mould that will allow you to cast your own reproductions of the original piece of jewlery, which has been found.

The usual price for a reproduction Viking age soapstone mould is 120 euros. The price is largely dependent on the complexity of the carving, so I will verify it with you prior to ordering.

I can provide a bronze cast of your mould upon request for an additional 20 euros.
